Hillman Marsh Conservation Area is a large and important wetland located on the shores of Lake Erie. This fall, Ducks Unlimited Canada and the Essex Region Conservation Authority, with funding from the Province of Ontario, tackled extensive repairs and reinforcements that will increase resiliency in the containment systems, protecting the habitat against new-normal climate change impacts in the form of extreme, enduring high-water events on Lake Erie.
