Essex Region/Chatham-Kent Regional Groundwater Study

The Essex Region/Chatham-Kent Regional Groundwater Study was completed to present an evaluation of the regional geology and hydrogeology of the study area. The study was completed in association with the Essex Region Conservation Authority, the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, the City of Windsor, and the Township of Pelee. The study is presented in two volumes:

  • Volume I – Geologic/Hydrogeologic Evaluation
    This volume contains the technical evaluations and results which define the groundwater resource. This volume is designed to provide the scientific and technical background for the definition of groundwater resources and serves as the basis for the development of groundwater resources and serve as the basis for the development of groundwater management and protection strategies.
  • Volume II – Groundwater Management Principles and Strategies
    This volume contains a summary of the existing groundwater management framework for federal, provincial and local agencies. The volume also contains suggestions for groundwater protection activities and policies for government and non-government groups.
