The 2020 Annual Progress Report uses a Provincially approved template to summarize the progress made toward implementing the 50 policies contained in the Essex Region Source Protection Plan (SPP) from the time the SPP came into effect (October 1, 2015) up to December 31, 2020. The Source Protection Committee reviewed this report and associated data and assigned our progress the top rating of ‘Progressing Well/On Target’ as the majority of the source protection plan policies have been implemented and/or are in progress and on target to be fully implemented within the time frame specified in the SPP.

The 2020 Risk Management Services Annual Progress Report summarizes actions taken by ERCA’s Risk Management Office to implement polices that use Part IV of the Clean Water Act for those municipalities who have delegated this authority to us. This includes all of the lower tier municipalities in the County of Essex, as well as the City of Windsor and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. For some municipalities (Leamington, Lakeshore and Chatham-Kent), policies in both the Essex Region and Thames-Sydenham and Region SPPs apply. This report summarizes progress made toward implementation of both SPPs up to December 31, 2020.
