Sell Your Handcrafted Items at the Holiday Makers’ Market at the John R. Park Homestead CA
We are inviting local crafters and artisans to apply for the opportunity to sell their special handcrafted gifts and wares at our second annual Holiday Makers’ Market, which will take place at the John R. Park Homestead on Sunday, December 4 from 11am – 4pm.
Market spaces are only available to artists and artisans with locally handcrafted items. There are 20 indoor vendor spaces available (15 heated; 5 unheated), and 20 outdoor spaces available.
The John R. Park Homestead is a historic 1842 living farm museum and a unique destination location in our region. It has been voted as the ‘Best of Windsor-Essex’ for museum/heritage space for the last three years. The museum by the lake is located at 915 County Rd. 50, Harrow, along Essex County’s beautiful wine route. During the Holiday Makers’ Market event, the historic Park Family home will be decorated for the festive season with all natural materials gathered from forest and farm, and costumed interpreters will provide guests with an authentic 1850’s holiday experience, including delicious mulled cider and roasted chestnuts.
Size of Space:
Each vendor will have 8ft frontage by 8ft deep space. The Homestead will provide one 6’ table and 2 chairs per space. Climate-controlled spaces are located inside the Conservation Centre, Red Barn, and Auditorium. Indoor but unheated spaces are provided in the large white pioneer era horse barn. 20 outdoor spaces are also available for vendors who wish to bring their own tent/canopy and tables and chairs.
Price:
$85 per booth (heated INDOOR)
$65 per booth (unheated INDOOR)
$50 per booth (OUTDOOR– must bring own tables, chairs, canopy)
Requirements:
- Vendors must be selling their own locally made, handcrafted goods
- Vendors are to provide their own table covering and any additional display pieces beyond the one 6’ table JRPH is providing
Vendors be ready to sell for the 11am opening time and must stay for the entire duration of the event. - Vendors must have some signage with your business name.
- Payment secures your space in the market & is due one week after acceptance. Payment can be made in-person, by phone with credit card, or by cheque (payable to ERCA).
The Holiday Makers’ Market will be promoted through ERCA’s newsletter (circulation 3,800), targeted social media posts and media releases.
