Rotary Legacy Forest Planting
Rotary District 6400 invites Rotarians, friends and family members to join us in planting 300 trees at the Rotary Legacy Forest Planting, located at Iler Road and Dolson Road. We will meet as a group in the parking lot at the John R. Park Homestead at 10am and will take a shuttle to the planting site.
Please register your club’s name and approximately how many volunteers will attend. Registration link: https://rotarylegacyforestplanting.eventbrite.ca.
We will gather at the John R. Park Homestead after the planting for a social gathering and celebration.
What can I bring to the event?
- Please bring a reusable water bottle with you to the planting event.
- It may be helpful to bring a towel, an extra pair of socks to change into after planting and some clean shoes for the car ride home.
- All planting equipment will be provided, but if you have a favourite pair of gardening gloves, feel free to bring them!
What can I wear to the event?
It is highly recommended that everyone wear appropriate footwear and outdoor attire. Spring weather in early May is variable, so please dress for the weather that morning. Sturdy footwear such as hiking boots and rainboots are the best when planting trees. It is also a good idea to dress in layers as well. If you have rain/splash pants, this can help keep your pants clean and dry.
