Prairie Pollinator Workshop (Cancelled)

Prairie Pollinator Workshop (Cancelled)

In a continued effort to proactively respond to the public health guidelines for preventative action related to COVID-19, Essex Region Conservation regrets to announce that this workshop has been cancelled at the following time.  We hope to reconvene at a later time. Thank you for your understanding and support.

This exciting workshop will discuss ways in which you can get involved in restoring prairie habitat & helping pollinators in Essex County!  Learn all about native tallgrass prairie, including the environmental benefits, planting and establishment techniques, maintenance, as well as grants and financial assistance for interested landowners.  This workshop will also explore potential challenges of establishing prairie habitat and ideas to overcome them. We are looking forward to input from the farming community and rural landowners

Note: must plant a qualifying “buffer strip” OR minimum of 1 acre of prairie to qualify for funding per ERCA’s CW~GS grant program (https://essexregionconservation.ca/stewardships-grants/landowner-grants/).

The workshop takes place in Committee Room C of the Essex County Civic Centre.
